Nickname Magic City and as seen on First 48, this map shows the real Birimingham Alabama ghetto and hoods on the East Side and West Side that rep the hoods and gangs in Birmingham, even though the city is not affiliated like other cities around the country.

Birmingham Alabama ghetto and hoods of the East Side, with the biggest being East Lake and the Bay Area, Kingston or K Town, Avondale projects, Woodlawn, Gate City, along with Roebuck and CTP Center Point right outside of the city in Jefferson County.

The West Side of Birmingham is maybe the largest and most known. The hoods of Pratt City, the legendary Smithfield, Titusville and the Loveman Village Projects, Central Park around Bessemer Road, the West End, Mason City and the Cooper Green projects, and Ensley represent the West Side Birmingham hoods.

The different communities and hoods of Jefferson County are not all in the city of Birmingham. Fairfield, Bessemer, and Brighton are as big as any other town in Alabama and no different from any other area in Birmingham and Jefferson County.
